ZO Skin Health was developed by Dr. Zein Obagi, one of the most-cited names in medical skincare. The line is built around a coherent philosophy: skin health is the goal, not surface-level glow. You get there through consistent application of evidence-backed actives - retinoids, antioxidants, growth factors, and exfoliating acids - in combinations matched to your skin type and concerns.

ZO is the line I use myself for daily maintenance, and it is the line I recommend to most of my patients who want a coherent at-home program.

Why I carry ZO

Three reasons. First, the formulations are clinically substantive rather than marketing-substantive - the retinoid concentrations, the antioxidant blends, and the active acids are dosed to do real work. Second, the regimen structure makes it possible to actually prescribe a skincare program rather than guess at a routine. Third, patients comply with ZO regimens at rates I have not seen with other prestige skincare lines. Cosmetic value of any product is zero if it sits in a drawer.

Lines I carry and who they are for

Daily Skincare Program (DSP): The core regimen. Cleansers, exfoliating washes, retinols, sun protection. The starting point for most ZO patients.
Anti-Aging Program: Adds growth-factor and peptide formulations for patients with more visible aging concerns.
Pigment Control Program: For melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and chronic sun damage. Includes the Hydroquinone System for prescription-strength brightening.
Acne and Oil Control Program: For patients still dealing with breakouts. Includes salicylic, benzoyl peroxide, and retinoid-based formulations.
Post-Procedure Recovery: Specific products for the days and weeks after a peel, microneedling, or laser treatment. Bland, supportive, gentle.

How a skincare consultation actually works

Bring what you are currently using. Pictures of products from your bathroom are fine. We look at your skin together, talk through your concerns, and build a regimen using only what makes sense for you. I do not bundle products you do not need. Some patients leave with three products. Some leave with six. The number depends on the plan, not on the sales pitch.

Pricing and how we sell ZO

ZO products are priced competitively. We bundle products into starter kits at consultation when that simplifies the conversation for first-time patients.

We carry inventory in the practice. Walk-ins during business hours are welcome to pick up products if you already know what you need.

Common questions

Do I need a consultation to buy ZO products?

For your first purchase, yes - I want to make sure what you are buying is actually right for your skin and you are not wasting money. After that, refills are easy and you can pick up in-person or have us reorder for you.

Can I buy ZO online?

ZO sells direct online, but the consultation-based purchase model produces better outcomes. We can also reorder for patients we have worked with before, with the advantage that we already know your skin and history.

What is the most-asked-about ZO product?

The Daily Power Defense is probably the most popular - a daily antioxidant and DNA-repair serum that is well-tolerated and effective for most skin types. The retinol skin brighteners run a close second.

Is ZO safe in pregnancy?

Some products are, some are not. Retinols are off-limits in pregnancy. Hydroquinone is off-limits. Vitamin C, gentle cleansers, and SPF are fine. We work through your full regimen at consult if you are pregnant or trying.
