The PromoItalia advantage I actually feel in the room
Most microneedling devices on the market are functionally similar. What differentiates them is the consistency of the needling pattern, the contamination control between cartridge and handpiece, and the serum vehicle. PromoItalia's 1NEED PRO uses a 14-needle floral cartridge that produces a more even microchannel distribution than the linear cartridges most U.S. devices use. The anti-contamination system (which has its own patent) keeps the serum-loaded cartridge fully isolated from the handpiece.
The serum stack is the part that genuinely matters clinically. PromoItalia's PDGF, exosome, and polynucleotide formulations are at higher concentrations than most U.S. PRP-based or growth-factor serums I have used.
The Mermaid Facial, specifically
The Mermaid Facial is a single-session protocol that uses the PromoItalia microneedling pass to drive a NucleoSkin serum into the dermis. NucleoSkin is a combination of:
- Salmon-derived polynucleotides (small DNA fragments that act as a regenerative scaffold)
- Hyaluronic acid for hydration
- Glutathione for brightening and antioxidant effect
What patients consistently tell me is that their skin looks lit-from- within for about 4 weeks after a Mermaid Facial session. It is one of my most-requested pre-event treatments for that reason.
Customizing the serum stack for what you want
At consult I ask what we are trying to fix. The customization options:
- PDGF when we want collagen regeneration and skin density.
- Exosomes for amplified regenerative signaling, especially in patients with sun damage or skin that has lost its bounce.
- Lite-Eyes for crepey, hollowing under-eye skin where filler is not the right answer.
- White-In for hyperpigmentation, melasma, or post-inflammatory pigment.
- NucleoSkin (Mermaid Facial) for general radiance and pre-event glow.
Many treatment plans combine two or three serums across a series.
What an appointment is like
Plan on about 90 minutes total. I numb your face with a topical agent for 20 minutes before the pass. The needling itself takes 15 to 20 minutes. Patients describe the sensation as warm-prickly rather than painful. The serum is driven into the channels as I work.
Afterward, your face will be flushed and pink for the rest of the day and possibly the next morning. Some patients have light pinpoint bleeding for an hour or two. By 48 hours most patients look normal. By 7 days the visible glow has started.
How many sessions
Most patients see a meaningful difference after a single session, especially with the Mermaid Facial. For deeper textural concerns (acne scarring, denser hyperpigmentation), I usually recommend a series of three sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. We assess at the end of the series and decide whether to do a fourth or transition to a maintenance cadence.
